Description
Yoa Games is a game studio founded by indie game developer Yoa.
History
Early historyYoa has been creating games ever since he was 16 years old when he learned himself to program BASIC from a VIC20 manual and started to create his first games. At that time he was creating a moon patrol like game and some other side scrollers, a karate game, a qbert clone and many others. Also at 16 he started playing guitar focussing on improvising and rock music first and later became interested in jazz music. At age 18-24 he studied computer science (computer graphics) at Delft university. During his software development career he worked on various computer graphics related projects, was a software development trainer for various programming languages and in his free time created several other games like Courier (around 1996 with 3 other guys) and Space Jam (2005) which ran on the first Xbox and PC (see videos below).
After thatIn 2007 he started his own software development company and started working on his latest game, DICED Pilot (see trailer), a few years ago. He wrote and played the music used in the trailer himself; the rock song was played on a Charvel guitar (see photo below) and a Zoom pedal with auto-wah effect, the acoustic song on an Alhambra acoustic guitar.
